Steven Maar , real name Stjepko Marenić , was born 1986. in Sisak, Croatia, where he grew up. His interest in music started in high school where he had his first contact with music production and DJ-ing . His first release was at the early age of 17, a remix of "Paradise Now" for DJ Eco, now widely popular producer. For a longer time he was dealing with smaller gigs and private parties until his collage graduation when he started to consider making a career out of music. For the last two years he issued a series of songs on "Jill Recordings" and "Soundtrip Records" with a specific character that unite trance, progressive house and electro house elements, tracks such as "Paperclip", "The Buzz", "Stapler" and "Eraser". Releases such as "I'm Not Here To Talk " and " Footprints on the Moon " were supported by big names in scene like Gareth Emery, Above and Beyond , Fedde Le Grand. The song " No Way Back " is the first to go one step further and received airplay in a number of radio stations, a live play during Ultra Europe in Split as well as the excellent acceptance of local DJs. In conjunction with the "Digital Empire Records" he issued a series of opaque and unique songs and remixes that start to determined the sound of Steven Maar, namely "SOS" , "Prickley Heat ( Steven Maar Remix", "Chemistry ( Steven Maar Remix )" In his catalog some recent releases include a remix of "Rave Bitches" on Columbia Records UK, one of the largest publishers of today, "Far Away From You" on Vendace Records , the largest Russian Trance label, which was voted as a top track on Paul Vinitskis TDSR radio show. Latest release was a colaboration with Canadian growing star Kieran Strange, a remix of "Rock N Roleplay Baby" which hit Beatport top100 Electro house releases on the second day of release. His DJ career is growing slowly but surely, aside from individual events and parties he is Sailing.hr Travel2Ultra main resident in Croatia, and was a resident of Ultra Sound Of Gjuro program. He had guest appearances on foreign radio stations where the 212 Trance show had his set side by side with the great Leon Bolier , Lizzy Curios and Jon Mancini. He is a regular guest Brija.com seasonal compilations. His versatility shows when coupled with Dejan Š. as they created an acoustic song that won the "Omiš Guitar Fest" in 2014. He is also working with a wide range of artists in his "Emergency Music Studio" who span from deep funky house artists, to popular music (pop) artists and groups. Extracting the experience from working with acoustic musicians he is shaping the new and modern sound of Steven Maar that incorporates live instruments with electro and trance feel.
